Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University Admission Circular 2024 has been published. BSMRMU Maritime Governance and Policy, Shipping Administration, Earth, and Ocean Science and Engineering and Technology faculties will have to apply online for admission in the 2023-24 academic years. All the activities related to admission will be done through the admission website applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd.

Eligibility for application
Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science: The Faculty of Earth and Ocean Science includes BSc (Hons) in Oceanography and BSc (Hons) in Marine Fisheries. To apply to this faculty, the candidate should have the following qualifications.
(A) Must have passed Higher Secondary / Equivalent and Secondary / Equivalent examinations from Science groups with minimum G.P.A-4.00.
(B) In Higher Secondary / Equivalent Examination, Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology should have “A” Grade in any 2 of the five subjects and minimum “B” Grade in all other subjects.
(C) In case of English Medium students- Must be successful in at least five (05) subjects including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at O-Level. In case of more than two (02) “C” Grade will be considered as disqualification of the applicant. Candidates must be successful in at least three (03) subjects including Mathematics, Biology, and Physics at A-Level. More than one “C” grade will be considered as disqualification of the applicant.
Faculty of Maritime Governance and Policy: LLB (Hons) in Maritime Law is under the Faculty of Maritime Governance and Policy. To apply to this faculty, the candidate should have the following qualifications.
(A) Must have passed Higher Secondary / Equivalent and Secondary / Equivalent examinations from any groups with minimum G.P.A-3.5 and have minimum “B” Grade in all subjects.
(B) In the case of English Medium students – at O-Level – must be successful in at least five (05) subjects. In case of more than two (02) “C Grade will be considered as disqualification of the applicant. Applicants must be successful in at least two (02) subjects in A-Level. More than one “C” grade will be considered as disqualification of the applicant.
Faculty of Engineering and Technology: This faculty includes BSc in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering. To apply for this unit the candidate should have the following qualifications.
(A) Must have passed Higher Secondary / Equivalent and Secondary / Equivalent examinations from Science groups with minimum G.P.A-4.00.
(B) Must have an “A” Grade in any 2 of the four subjects in English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Higher Secondary / Equivalent Examination. All other subjects must have a minimum “B” Grade.
(C) In case of English Medium students- Must be successful in at least five (05) subjects including Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at O-Level. In case of more than two (02) “C” Grade will be considered as disqualification of the applicant.
Candidates must be successful in at least three (03) subjects including Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics at A-Level. More than one “C” grade will be considered as disqualification of the applicant.
Faculty of Shipping Administration: Under this faculty is BBA in Part Management and Logistics. The qualifications to apply here are-
(A) Higher Secondary / Equivalent and Secondary / Equivalent examinations from any branch with minimum GPA-3.5. Must have passed and had minimum “B” Grade in all subjects.
(B) In case of English Medium students – O-Level – Must be successful in a minimum of five (05) subjects including Mathematics. In more than two (02) subjects “C” Grade will be considered as disqualification of the applicant. In A-Level minimum two ( 02) Must be successful in more than one “C” grade will be considered as disqualification of the applicant.

Application Form
The applicant has to apply through the prescribed website (applyonline.bsmrmu.edu.bd) between 24 December 2023 to 11 January 2024. The application fee for each faculty is Tk. 700 / – (Seven Hundred only). The prescribed application fee can be paid through Mobile Banking (Nagad/bKash / Rocket/ My Cash / T-Cash etc.) and Debit / Credit Card (VISA, Master Card). Detailed instructions and information on application submission and fee payment can be found on the University website (www.bsmrmu.edu.bd). Admission test will be held simultaneously in the following 04 centers (Mention should be made in the admission application form in which center you are willing to take the test). Centers are- (A) Dhaka (B) Chittagong (C) Rangpur and (D) Khulna.
