Eligibility for application

In order to apply to the Dhaka University Affiliated Home Economics College Admission, the candidate should have the following qualifications.

  • Candidates have to pass the secondary or equivalent examination between 2015 and 2018. Candidates must pass the Higher Secondary Examination in 2020 from any group of any Education Board / Open University. Candidates who have passed A-level can also apply.
  • Candidates should have a minimum total GPA of 5.50 including 4th subject in secondary and higher secondary level examinations. However, if the minimum GPA is below 2.50 in any examination, it will not be acceptable.

Home Economics College Admission Form

Applications can be submitted to the Home Economics Unit for 2020-2021 from 15 June to 31 July. You have to apply online. You have to apply for admission by following all the procedures through the admission website collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd. If you have already applied to any unit or institute of Dhaka University, the candidate can apply by logging in. In that case, he/she does not have to provide new information. However, to apply for this first time, the candidate has to provide the required information and upload his/her Photo. Follow the steps below to apply.

  1. Visit the admission website collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd [Apply Online].
  2. Provide the required information for HSC / Equivalent and SSC / Equivalent exams in the login option.
  3. Verify all the information in the next step.
  4. Provide information like current address, mobile number, test center, etc.
  5. Upload the specified size Photo.
  6. Complete the application and payment for the Home Economics Unit from the Dashboard.

Marks Distribution and Question Pattern

Dhaka University Home Economics Unit Admission Test will be held in the MCQ system. The admission test will be 1 hour. The admission test will be 100 Marks for a total of 100 MCQ questions. Question papers will be prepared according to the syllabus of the candidate’s higher secondary examination.

Each candidate has to answer questions in 4 subjects including Bengali and English and 2 elective subjects. The total mark for each subject is 30.

Candidates who have passed from the science group must answer in Bengali and English. Also have to answer any two subjects from Chemistry, Physics, Biology and General Knowledge.

Students in the business studies group are required to take the admission test in Bengali and English as well as in any two subjects from accounting, business organization and management, production management and marketing, and general knowledge.

In addition to Bengali and English, candidates in the humanities will have to answer the admission test in any two subjects from Economics, Politics, Sociology and General Knowledge.

Participants in the Admission Test from the Home Economics Group will answer the Bengali and English. Also need to answer any two subjects from food and nutrition, home management and family life, child development and general knowledge.

The pass mark on the admission test is 40. No candidate will be considered for admission if he/she gets less than 40 marks.

Admit Card Download

Home Economics College Admit Card can be downloaded from August 10 to the day of the exam. Dhaka University Home Economics Unit Admit Card can be downloaded from the admission website. To download it, log in with your Application ID and Roll Number.

Seat Plan

Home Economics College Seat Plan will be published on the admission Website of Dhaka University, collegeadmission.eis.du.ac.bd. On the day before the admission test, the candidate has to know the specific place and time of the test according to her roll number and serial number at her own responsibility. If you do not participate in the admission test in the allotted seats, the answer sheets will not be evaluated. On the day of the test, 30 minutes before the scheduled time of the start of the test, seats have to be taken in the designated seats of the test center.

Admission Test Results

Home Economics College Admission Result will be published on 6 September 2021. This is the probable date of publication of the results. Admission test results can be found on the admission website. Candidates can view the results by logging in to the admission website collegeadmission eis du ac bd.

The merit list will be made in the order of the merit scores obtained by the candidates on the basis of a total of 120 marks. The choice form has to be filled within the specified date after the publication of the merit list.
